We spent Christmas break, priming and painting the mudbricks with locally made biopaint and feeling very excited about finally realising our dream. In our excitement we decided to end our rental lease and temporarily moved into the parent’s home for 2 months.

In May 2007 we moved in to the house although the kitchen and bathroom were not finished, we were ready. 

The builders returned from a short holiday to find us occupying the house as we had threatened. As messy as this sounds it worked out fine and the house was almost finished.
